National President Welcomes Bah Ronnie V. Lyngdoh into NPP

Shillong, August 5, 2025: In a significant political development, Mylliem MLA Bah Ronnie V. Lyngdoh was officially welcomed into the National People’s Party (NPP) by National President and Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma during a formal ceremony held at the Chief Minister’s residence in Polo.

Bah Ronnie, a veteran leader and former member of the Indian National Congress, was received in the presence of NPP State President Bah Prestone Tynsong, senior party leaders, and supporters from the Mylliem constituency.

Welcoming Bah Ronnie into the party, Conrad K. Sangma expressed confidence that his induction would provide a major boost to the NPP, particularly in Mylliem and the broader East Khasi Hills region.

“Bah Ronnie’s experience and dedication to public service will greatly strengthen our party’s mission to deliver development and good governance,” Sangma stated.

Speaking on his decision to join the NPP, Bah Ronnie said he was inspired by the party’s commitment to the welfare of the people and its inclusive approach to governance.

“I believe that the NPP is best placed to serve the people of Meghalaya in a sincere and result-oriented manner. I look forward to contributing meaningfully to this journey,” he said.

The event was attended by residents of Mylliem who expressed their support for Bah Ronnie’s new political direction, assuring their continued backing in the run-up to the next elections.

With this latest addition, the NPP further consolidates its position in the Khasi Hills region ahead of the upcoming political season.
