Shillong, March 05: A special session to constitute the tenth Meghalaya Legislative Assembly will be held on Wednesday where newly elected MLAs will take oath as members of the new House.

A protem speaker will administer the oath of office and secrecy to the newly elected members.

Sources said that the senior most in age from among the newly elected MLAs is NPP legislator, Timothy D. Shira.

The protem speaker will be appointed by the governor.
