Shillong,Apr.18: The National Institute of Open Schooling  announce a new date for Diploma in Elementary Education Exams 2018 which is supposed to be held on 27,28 and 29 April 2018.

In the notification issued by NIOS on 11th April, 2018 signed by C. Dharuman Director (Evaluation) the new date for D.El.Ed Exams is on 7th May 2018 for subject code 501 (Elementary Education in India: A Socio-Cultural Perspective), 9th May 2018 for subject code 502 (Pedagogic Processes in Elementary Schools) and 11th May 2018 for subject code 503 (Learning Languages at Elementary Level). The timing for exams is from 2:30 to 5:30 evening and to know the Examination Centre the teachers can download their Admit Card or Hall Ticket from the NIOS website www.nios.ac.in which will be available soon.

Earlier, last month the Meghalaya SSA School Association Central Body urged the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma seeking his intervention to take up the issue with the Competent Authority of NIOS for arrangement of new date for D.El.Ed Exams 2018 instead of 29th April 2018 which falls on Sunday.

It may be mentioned from Meghalaya there are around 26980 numbers of untrained in-service teachers teaching at elementary level from different categories which includes SSA, Deficit, Adhoc, Govt and Private teachers registered for this course with NIOS for 2017-19 session.
