Shillong, Sept 02: The National People’s Party (NPP) has inaugurated its Mawsynram Block Committee office and felicitated newly appointed office bearers of the party.

Senior NPP leaders, J. S. Kurbah who is the President of East Khasi Hills District, and Babeth Sangma inaugurated the Mawsynram Block Committee office in the presence of a wave of supporters.

Don Marbaniang was appointed as the Block President, Mithun Hajong as Vice President and Bimol Thabah as General Secretary.
Also present at the inauguration was the organizer from Masynram Constituency, Laplu M. Sangma. L. Sangma who urged the public to come together and support the party in Mawsynram constituency.

Speakers including J. S. Kurbah spoke about the NPP’s ethos which is to bring about development to Mawsynram Constituency through even distribution of schemes in the constituency.

Babeth Sangma spoke about the need for the state to move ahead and catch up with other states in the country in terms of economic development and job employment opportunities.​
