Shillong November 22: National People’s Party (NPP) national president, Conrad Kongkal Sangma has appointed former MP Lok Sabha, Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze as the new President of NPP in Manipur along with other office bearers.

According to the notification issued on Saturday (November 22), along with Pfoze as president, Sheikh Noorul Hassan, Th. Shanti Singh, and Jamgphung Pammei have been appointed as working presidents.

In the past few months, former deputy chief minister of Manipur and NPP leader, Y. Joykumar was appointed as an interim president of Manipur unit following the demise of N. Kayisii.

Pfoze was the member of Lok Sabha from Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency.

He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2019 as the candidate of the Naga People’s Front (NPF).

After quitting the NPF this year, Pfoze joined the NPP along with other leaders.
