Shillong,Sept. 12: One more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 25, while 168 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1570 on Saturday.
DHS (MI) Dr Aman War on Saturday evening informed that one male identified as W. Marbaniang (14) from Mawpat was brought to Dr. H. Gordon hospital on September 10 around midnight .
Dr War also informed that the patient expired on September 10Â at around 5 Am .
In East Khasi Hills district, 124 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 45 and Others : 79), Ri Bhoi 14 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 08 and Others : 06), West Khasi Hills 01, East Jaintia Hills 07, South West Khasi Hills 04, East Garo Hills 01 and West Garo Hills 17 .
New recovered cases 131 were reported , West Garo Hills 10 , West Khasi Hills 21, East Khasi Hills 92 and Ri Bhoi 08 , total recovered 2020.
Out of 1570 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 994 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 190 and Others : 804). In west Khasi Hills District 14 cases , Ri Bhoi district 130 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 46 and Others : 84),South West Khasi Hills 05, West Jaintia Hills district 13, East Jaintia Hills district 146, West Garo Hills district 211 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 85 and Others :126), South West Garo Hills district 08, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 17 and North Garo Hills district 12.
The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,615 which includes twenty five deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
