One more succumbs to COVID-19 in Meghalaya, 109 persons test positive

Shillong,Sept. 13: One more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 26, while 109 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1623 on Sunday.

According to the officials, One male identified as Peter Kharkongor  (70) from Wahthapbroo was brought dead to Nazareth hospital on September 13 at  around 5:20 am and later found COVID 19 positive after RAT .

In East Khasi Hills district, 85 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 27 and Others : 58), Ri Bhoi 09 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 03 and Others : 06), West Garo Hills 13 and East Jaintia Hills 02.

New recovered cases 55 were reported ,  East Khasi Hills 30, Ri Bhoi 02 and  West Garo Hills 23 , total recovered 2075.

Out of 1623 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 1048 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 215 and Others : 833). In west Khasi Hills District 14 cases , Ri Bhoi district 137 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 49 and Others : 88),South West Khasi Hills 05, West Jaintia Hills district 13, East Jaintia Hills district 148, West Garo Hills district 201 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 80 and Others :121), South West Garo Hills district 08, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 17 and North Garo Hills district 12.

The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 3,724 which includes twenty six deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
