Shillong,Sept. 15: One more COVID-19 patient died in Meghalaya, taking the fatality count in the State to 29, while 172 more persons tested positive for COVID-19, taking the number of active cases to 1818 on Tuesday.
DHS (MI) Dr Aman War on Tuesday evening informed that one male identified as Gopal Chandra Baghdosh (67) from Jhalupara was brought to Civil hospital on September 12 and he was tested positive for COVID 19 the same day .
Dr War also informed that the patient expired on September 15 at around 3:25 pm .
In East Khasi Hills district, 74 new cases were reported (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 21 and others 53 ), Ri Bhoi 23, West Garo Hills 09, East Jaintia Hills 61, South west Garo Hills 02, besides North Garo Hills, West Jaintia Hills and South Garo Hills 01 positive each.
Out of 1818 total active cases, in East Khasi Hills 1187 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 260 and Others : 927). In west Khasi Hills District 14 cases , Ri Bhoi district 152 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 47 and Others : 105),South West Khasi Hills 05, West Jaintia Hills district 14, East Jaintia Hills district 203, West Garo Hills district 183 (Armed Forces/Para Military Forces: 72 and Others :111), South West Garo Hills district 10, South Garo Hills district 20, East Garo Hills district 17 and North Garo Hills district 13.
New recovered cases 39 were reported , East Khasi Hills 10 , Ri Bhoi 01 ,West Garo Hills 24, East Jaintia Hills 03, South Garo Hills 01, total recovered 2190.
The total COVID 19 cases so far recorded in the state is 4,037 which includes twenty nine deaths due to COVID-19 have been reported so far.
