Shillong, Oct 31: The newly floated People’s Democratic Front (PDF) has decided to field Hilarius Pohchen as its candidate in the upcoming 2018 Assembly elections from Nongkrem constituency.

This came after sitting MDC from Nongkrem Hispreaching Son Shylla, quit the PDF and joined the National People’s Party (NPP).

Pohchen was welcomed by PDF president, Ivanlumlang Marbaniang at a meeting held at Laitkor on Tuesday.

This is the third time that Pohchen will contest the Assembly elections from Nongkrem.

The meeting also elected the office bearers of the PDF Zonal Committee Nongkrem Constituency.
