Shillong, Oct. 31: POWERGRID, Shillong conducted an inter college debate competition at St. Mary’s College ton Tuesday as part of the Vigilance Awareness Week which is being observed since Monday. Ten prominent colleges of city including NIT, NEIGRIMS among others participated in the competition; and Shillong Commerce College emerged winners.

The awareness week started yesterday with integrity pledge taking ceremony, administered by Shri A Patir,GM(AM) at the Regional Head Quarters of POWERGRID at Lapalang, Shillong. The week long programme is scheduled with different outreach activities. A drawing completion was also held among students of Vivekananda School, Rynjah on the same day.

A Road Show (Walkathon) on vigilance awareness is scheduled on 1st Nov from Rynjah. Further, an Integrity Club, sponsored by POWERGRID, has also been formed at KV, NEHU. A Panel Discussion by eminent dignitaries on “Digital India will reduce unemployment and corruption” will be held at POWERGRID campus on 3rd Nov which will be followed by a closing ceremony. (PIB)
