Shillong, Apr 4: President, Ram Nath Kovind will to visit Meghalaya soon.
Chief Minister, Conrad K. Sangma informed that the President has expressed his desire to visit the state soon before completing his one year in office.
On Tuesday, Conrad along with State Tourism Minister, Metbah Lyngdoh, Power Minister, James K. Sangma met the President at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi and discussed several initiatives that the state intended to take up for the growth of the state and welfare of the people.
“During the course of discussion, expressed his desire to visit the state as he wanted complete his visit to all states within one year after he assumed office,†he said.
The President is yet to visit Meghalaya, Tripura and Sikkim.
