Expressing his gratitude to the organisers, Tynsong said that it was indeed a wonderful opportunity given to him to meet the people of Garo Hills in a moment, where people are engaged in the spirit of the beautiful game of football.
“Team work and spirit of the game is very important in football”, said Tynsong, while stating that change will start in Garo Hills for better tomorrow if people irrespective of their cultural backgrounds come together and work for the betterment of the society.
James Sangma said, “Senior most Congress MLA attending football in Garo Hills means that change is forthcoming in Meghalaya. There has to be teamwork in all sphere of life including politics, so that the spirit of unity can co-exist amongst all of us. Work together is the key mantra for taking Meghalaya forward and we as leaders are commitment to deliver the best to champion the cause and aspiration of the people of the state”.
