Shillong, July 31: A public hearing for shifting of the existing Community and Rural Development Block from Wapung to Lumshnong in East Jaiñtia Hills district will be held on August 6.

The deputy commissioner, East Jaiñtia Hills district, F. M. Dopth, informed that the public hearing to solicit the views of various stakeholders at Wapung Secondary School at 10 am.

The Deputy Commissioner also informed that public notice has been given to all petitioners/stake holders who objected on the proposed shifting of the Community & Rural Development Block headquarter. The Deputy Commissioner also invites all interested persons to attend the hearing.
