Nongpoh, September 25, 2025: More than 100 young men and women successfully completed computer training courses at the Regional Institute of Advance Studies (RIAS) in Nongpoh and were awarded certificates during a ceremony held today at the Science Hall, Nongpoh.
This marks the fourth such batch of trainees who have benefited from RIAS’s skill development programme, aimed at equipping local youth with essential computer knowledge.

The event was attended by RIAS Managing Director Bah Skhem Swet, retired police officer Bah M. Kharkrang, State BJP General Secretary (and District in-charge) Kong Danelia Nonglait, Pastor K.B. Kharbteng, Bah Markus Marten, and several other dignitaries.
Speakers at the programme stressed the importance of computer literacy in today’s world, saying that alongside their formal education, students must be well-versed in technology to improve their chances of finding employment.
Participants who successfully completed the training received certificates according to the level of course they had undertaken.
