Shillong, October 22: The Risyon Sports Club Shillong hosted a special ceremony today to unveil its official club and football team jerseys. The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Smt. Jinysha D. Maiong, President & Managing Director; Mr. Eddyson Sohkhlet, Head Coach; and Mr. Soniland Malai, Executive Coordinator of Hid Foundation Shillong, along with club members and players.

During the launch, Smt. Maiong expressed gratitude to the Almighty and emphasized that sports is not just a game but a platform to showcase talent and promote livelihoods. She encouraged players to work together to elevate the team and highlighted the club’s participation in the Captain Williamson Ampang Sangma Football Memorial Trophy 2025 in Baghmara, South Garo Hills, Meghalaya.

The team is scheduled to face Aginma Football Club on November 1, 2025. Coach Eddyson Sohkhlet said the team is well-prepared for the tournament and confident despite potential challenges posed by weather differences.

The jersey launch marks a significant milestone in the club’s preparations, with players and members united in spirit and determination as they gear up for the prestigious competition.
