Shillong, Sept 26: Shillong’s pride, Riya Suting, held a press conference on 26 Sept. to celebrate her historic victory as National Miss P&I India 2025. The event was attended by local media, well-wishers, and representatives from cultural and youth organizations.
Speaking to reporters, Riya expressed gratitude to her family, mentors, and the people of Meghalaya for their unwavering support throughout her journey. “This crown is not just mine; it belongs to everyone who believed in me. I hope this inspires more young women from Meghalaya to pursue their dreams,” she said.
Riya also highlighted the mission of P&I (Pageant and Innovation), emphasizing the pageant’s focus on inclusion, empowerment, and celebrating personal stories. She shared insights from the competition, describing it as a test of strength, intellect, and grace, beyond traditional notions of beauty.
During the session, Riya outlined her future plans, including engaging in community outreach, women empowerment initiatives, and awareness programs in Meghalaya, aiming to use her platform for meaningful social impact.
