Shillong, Dec 5: Khun Hynñiewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) president, Pyndap Saibon has asked the lone legislator of the party, Adelbert Nongrum to clarify on various points related to his recent claim that he is the new president of the party.

In his letter to the MLA, Saibon said, “We will not recognize the CEC led by you (Nongrum) till the time that you are ready to reply (to our queries).”

Saibon also reiterated that the action taken by Nongrum is not as per the constitution of the party but by adopting through unfair means.

In his seven-point queries, Saibon wanted to know when was the general convention convened to elect the new office bearers of the Central Executive Committee of the party.

“When was the body led by me been dissolved and when did you become one of the founding leaders of the party,” he asked Nongrum.

The letter also came after Nongrum threatens to complaint to the privilege committee against Saibon for allegedly making derogatory statements against a sitting legislator.
