Shillong Sept 3: The Shillong All Faiths Forum (SAFF) has decided to again meet the state government before finalizing on the issue related to re-opening of places of worship.
The SAFF will interact with the government on September 7.
The forum took this decision during its general meeting held on Thursday at Umshyrpi College, which was presided over by the President, Bishop Purely Lyngdoh.
SAFF joint secretary, Naba Bhattacharjee said that the forum held detailed deliberation and exchanged views among the representatives of different faiths present in the meeting, subsequent to which, it was decided unanimously that the forum should first interact with the state government on Monday (September 7), before finalizing on the issue related to re-opening of places of worship including other related matters.
