Shillong July 21: Shillong College will launch the Language cum Skill Development Lab constructed with the support of the Meghalaya government under Rashtriya Uchchattar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme in the college premises on July 24 at 11am.

Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong will grace the occasion as chief guest in the presence of Pro Vice Chancellor, NEHU, Prof Henry Lamin as guest of honour and other dignitaries.

As part of the programme, the college will also be releasing its’ Diamond Jubilee Celebration Souvenir and the college interdisciplinary journal entitled “Echoes from the Hills”.

RUSA is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) aimed at providing strategic funding to eligible state higher educational institutions. The scheme is for development for higher education initiated in 2013 by the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development.
