Shillong, Aug 9: The Shillong Municipal Board has 128 employees who are staying at Them ïew Mawlong.

This was informed by the Board to the High Level Committee during a meeting here on Thursday.

Chairman of the committee and deputy chief minister, Prestone Tynsong said that at present it cannot be commented on illegal settlers in the area.

He said that the HLC has again asked the Municipal Board, Urban Affairs and Land Records and Survey have been asked to produce more papers on the issue.

He said that the Shillong Municipal Board has been again asked to conduct an inventory of the houses to know the number of genuine settlers in the area.
