Shillong is set to host yet another inspiring edition of the Shillong Run 10K – 2025, a much-anticipated event organized annually by the Agency for Sustainable Development Initiatives (KJP Synod Sepngi). Scheduled for 2nd August 2025 at 5:30 AM, the run will commence from the Parking Lot at Polo Grounds, bringing together runners from across Meghalaya and beyond in a shared journey of fitness, inclusion, and community spirit.

Embracing Diversity Through Running

The theme for this year’s event, “Run with Different Abilities,” underscores the core vision of the Shillong Run — promoting inclusivity and advocating for the integration of Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) into the mainstream of society. Since its inception in 2011, the event has grown into a platform that not only promotes physical well-being but also breaks down social barriers, empowering people of all backgrounds and abilities to run side by side.

Categories for Participation

To ensure broader community engagement, the Shillong Run 10K – 2025 will feature three distinct categories:
• Junior Category: For participants below the age of 15.
• Senior Category: For individuals aged 15 years and above.
• Special Category: Dedicated to Persons with Disabilities, who will participate in a specially marked route.
