Shillong schools shine in CBSE Class-XII results

Shillong, May 26: Schools in the city did well in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examinations, the results of which were declared on Saturday.

Christ School, Shillong secured a 100 percent pass percentage in both Science and Commerce streams with Macduf R. Marak topping the Science stream with distinctions in all five subjects and Buru Umbing in Commerce stream with distinctions in four subjects.

The Principal, Management, staff and the students of Christ School congratulate all the students and with a special mention to Astha Dwivdi of Arts Stream for her excellent performance with an aggregate percentage of 96.2% with distinctions in English (95), History (99), Economics (96), Political Science (96) and Informatics Practices (95).

Meanwhile, students of Army Public School Shillong have also proved their mettle once again by shining bright in the CBSE class 12 results.

Shreya Dutta and Adrian Lara Nongbri secured a centum in Economics, Khushi Chamaria secured a centum in Mathematics and Rajiv Surana secured a centum in Computer Science.

However 34 students, scored 90% and above marks in aggregate.

In Science stream, Debasmita Das and Rohit Paul jointly topped by scoring a remarkable aggregate of 95.4% marks, Rajiv Surana secured second position by scoring 95.2% marks in aggregate; and Keshar Mani Joshi secured third position with 94.8% marks in aggregate.

In Commerce stream, Shreya Dutta and Khushi Chamaria jointly topped by scoring an impressive aggregate of 97% marks, Titiksha Dugar secured second position by scoring 92.6% marks in aggregate; and Priya Kumari secured third position with 91.8% marks in aggregate.

In Humanities, Adrian Lara Nongbri topped by scoring a whooping aggregate of 97.2% marks. He is also the school topper of APS Shillong. Pinky Jain secured second position by scoring an aggregate of 92.6% marks and Chayanika Das secured third position with 91.8% marks in aggregate

The elated Principal of the school, Mr Rajeevan P said, “The students have done quite well this time and overall performance of our school has improved significantly.”

The SAMC (School Administration and Managing Committee) and the staff of the school congratulated the students of Class XII for their superb performance in the Board Examination.
