Shillong, Sept 27: The Jaiñtia Hills Autonomous District Council got a new Chief Executive Member with first-time Congress member, Andrew Shullai getting elected to the top post uncontested.

The election of Shullai as the new CEM of the JHADC was announced during the special session of the Council held on Wednesday.
Shullai was the only candidate who filed the nomination papers for the election to the CEM post.
