Shillong, July 19: KHADC Chief Executive Member, H.S. Shylla would seek the intervention of the District Council Affairs (DCA) Minister James K Sangma to speed up the process of approving the list of Executive Members (EMs) of the KHDA-led Executive Committee.

“I will take this matter with the DCA minister because it will be too late if we have to wait till the chief minister Conrad K Sangma returns from New Delhi on July 22,” Shylla told reporters here on Thursday.

Earlier, Shylla had submitted the list of eight EMs to the DCA department for approval of the Governor.

These include 3 UDP MDCs – Neil Antonio War, Rona Khymdeit and Donkupar Sumer, 3 PDF MDCs – James Sylliang, Latiplang Kharkongor and Blanding Warjri and 2 NPP MDCs – Jansing M Tynsong and Victor Ranee.

However, independent member from Laban Ricky Shullai had expressed disappointment for not being inducted in the Shylla-led EC.

The KHADC chief said that he would soon submit another two names which include HSPDP Mylliem MDC Teilinia S Thangkhiew for the post of deputy CEM and Shullai for post of EM.

The KHDA is having the support of 4 National People’s Party (NPP), 5 United Democratic Party (UDP), 4 People’s Democratic Front (PDF), 3 Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP), 1 Khun Hynniewtrep National Awakening Movement (KHNAM) and 1 Independent.
