Shillong, July 14: Football lovers in Shillong and other parts of the Meghalaya are set to witness the once in four years FIFA World Cup final in giant screens across the state as France and Croatia fight each other at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday to snatch the title of world champions in football.

The state sports department has will put on a Giant Screen on the final of the FIFA World Cup 2018 in the state capital at Polo Ground, as well as in the headquarters of other districts of the state on Sunday.

The venue will be under strict security surveillance and no person under the influence of alcohol or other intoxication will be allowed to enter the venue.

Apart from the sports department, individuals and organizations are also putting on Giant Screen in their respective localities for football lovers to witness the World Cup final.

In Mawlai, the residents of Mawlai Nongpdeng will watch the FIFA World Cup final in a Giant Screen at Wahumkhrah taxi stand being arranged by youth leader, Samuel Biam, while the Giant Screen at Mawlai Mawdatbaki was being put up by the Seng Samla Mawlai Mawdatbaki.
