Shillong March 16: Meghalaya Asembly Speaker, Dr Donkupar Roy has reconstituted the High Power Committee for the construction of new Assembly building along with the new members.
The new Assembly building will be built in a land measuring about 80 acres at Mawdiangdiang.

While the Speaker is the Chairman of the HPC, the other members include, chief minister, Conrad K. Sangma, parliamentary affairs minister, Prestone Tynsong, PWD (buildings) minister, Comingone Ymbon, urban affairs minister, Hamletson Dohling, and leader of Opposition, Dr Mukul Sangma.

Other MLAs who are members of the HPC include, Ampareen Lyngdoh, Lambor Malngiang, Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, and chief secretary, Y. Tsering.

Assembly commissioner and secretary, Andrew Simons is the secretary of the committee.
