Shillong, March 25: The Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Thomas A Sangma, inspected and chaired a comprehensive review meeting on Monday regarding the construction of the New Assembly building at Mawdiangdiang.

The meeting was held to assess the progress of the under-construction Meghalaya Legislative Assembly building.

Representatives from various line departments were also present, including the Public Works Department (PWD), Parliamentary Affairs Department, Design Associates, and other Assembly officials.

A joint meeting was conducted after the inspection to discuss the project’s progress and address any challenges.

The Speaker expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the meeting, emphasizing the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the project.
