North Garo Hills | 30 July 2025: In a swift and coordinated operation, the patrolling team of Bajengdoba Police Station recovered a suspected stolen motorcycle — a black Bajaj Pulsar 220cc — in the early hours of 29 July 2025 from the Merongdigre area.
Acting on intelligence and routine surveillance, the police intercepted the vehicle at around 1:00 AM. Upon verification, it was confirmed that the motorcycle had been reported stolen from the Dudhnoi area of Assam. A case regarding the theft has already been registered at Dudhnoi Police Station under Case No. 29/2025, Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
In compliance with proper legal procedures, the recovered motorcycle was handed over to officials from Dudhnoi Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal action.
The North Garo Hills District Police has reiterated its strong commitment to combating vehicle theft and related crimes. The department assured the public that vigilant patrolling and prompt action will continue to ensure public safety and uphold the rule of law in the region.
