HANM seek minister’s intervention over lack of manpower issue

Shillong, Aug 27: The Hynniewtrep Achik National Movement (HANM) has sought the intervention of the health minister AL Hek into the various problems including the shortage of manpower faced by the Mairang civil hospital.

In a memorandum submitted here on Tuesday, the HANM North West Khasi Hills said that the government should consider resolving these issues at the earliest by appointing doctors and other staffs against the allotted capacity in the hospital.

According to the organization, there is no specialised doctor in the civil hospital at present and this has affected the people especially those coming from far flung villages of the constituency.

The HANM has also requested the minister to address the shortage of water supply in the hospital.
