Shillong, Apr 9: Three drug peddlers were arrested and heroin was seized from their possession in the city here on Monday.

The trio was identified as Johny Tariang (25) from Fifth Mile, Upper Shillong, Banteilang Rani from Jaiaw Langsning and Rishai Donald Lyngdoh (25) from Lumbateimon Jaiaw Laitdom.

According to police, they were first apprehended by members of the Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) from Students’ ground at Jaiaw here.

Around 60 pieces of heroin packed in small white paper and some in golden container weighing 2.25 gram and cash Rs 2500 was seized from their possession.
