Imphal, Nov 22: Two Central Reserve Police Force troopers were seriously wounded after suspected rebels hurled a grenade outside the Manipur Assembly complex here on Friday, police official said

The incident occurred around 5.15 PM outside the front gate of the assembly complex in Thangmeiband area of the capital city.

Police said the wounded troopers belonging to the 87th battalion of the force, were rushed to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences hospital.

Security have further tightened in the entire area and a manhunt is on to nab the rebels.
