Shillong, Dec 5: Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs, Jaswantsinh Bhabhor expressed satisfaction over the implementation of various central schemes being implemented in Meghalaya.
Following a review meeting with State Government officials at the Main Secretariat in Shillong on Wednesday, the Minister assured the Ministry’s support to the Meghalaya Government in terms of monetary sanctions for different schemes.
The Union Minister added that the Meghalaya Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma is performing exceedingly well as far as implementations of Central Schemes are concerned. He added that the Union Government will provide all forms of help for the tribal communities of the State and others.
During the review meeting, various aspects of the need to effectively implement Central schemes on the ground were discussed. Meghalaya Minister for Printing & Stationery Department, Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Social Welfare Department, Kyrmen Shylla, Chief Secretary of Meghalaya, Y. Tsering and senior officials of the State Government were present.
