Shillong, May 7: Deputy Speaker, Timothy D. Shira on Monday administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly elected MLA of the NPP from Williamnagar, Marcuise N. Marak.

Marak took oath at the office chamber of the Deputy Speaker in the presence of Meghalaya chief minister and National People’s Party (NPP) leader Conrad K. Sangma, Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong, Home Minister, James K Sangma and other MLAs and relatives of Marak.

Marak was first elected from Williamnagar constituency in 2008 as member of the eighth Meghalaya Assembly and in 2018 for the second time as member of the tenth Assembly.
