Shillong, May 17: State-run telecom operator BSNL is offering unlimited data for three days to existing and new customers that have recharged their numbers with STV-333 or “Triple ACE” pack said Chief General Manager Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd Kamal Kumar Saxena ITS, to mark the World Telecom Day on May 17, 2017.
Addressing the gathering on Enterprise Business Customer’s meet in the city on Wednesday Kamal Kumar Saxena said that BSNL is delighted to see huge number of partipant in the meet to mark the Day.
Promising to fulfill the customer’s requirement on bulk data requirement, which will also help them to participate in the development of the North East especially Meghalaya, Mizoram and Tripura under the Northeast circle-1 where connectivity have increase drastically through Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (PGCIL) links to the National capital that is Guwahati and Kolkata so that customer enjoy high speed circuit for their lease line and internet lease line and all other requirement through our MTLS networks.
This year World Telecom and Information society day theme is “Big Data for Big Impact” which will explore the power of big data for development and examine the opportunities to convert extraordinary quantities of data into information that can drive development, Saxena added.
Saxena said, BSNL is gearing up to improve connectivity along the international border to through optical fibre, even though the road condition is under development.BSNL is taking prompt action with relate to connectivity once the road development work is completed and after getting the permission from the highway authorities, the state government PWD authority to lay our optical fibre cable and we will be able to increase our network in the border areas as well.
“We plan to erect at least 56 towers in Meghalaya, to increase our reach and network and in the capital city of shillong alone we have already covered all the sites with 3G base transceiver stations (BTS) ” BSNL (Northeast Circle-1) chief general manager K.K. Saxena .
BSNL is in the pipeline for the 4G network.
