Ri-Bhoi, September 1: Fourteen young men and women from Ri-Bhoi district have successfully completed a month-long free computer training programme conducted by the Regional Institute of Advanced Studies (RIAS).

The programme was aimed at equipping participants with essential computer knowledge and practical digital skills to help them meet the demands of the modern technological era.

A certificate distribution ceremony was held today, where RIAS Managing Director Skhemborlang Swet, Commandant of the CRPF’s 67 Battalion, Shillong, Jai Singh, CRPF personnel and instructors presented certificates to the 14 successful trainees.

The training programme was sponsored and financially supported by the 67 Battalion CRPF under the leadership of Commandant Jai Singh.

Addressing the gathering, Singh said the CRPF would continue to support initiatives aimed at empowering young people and helping them acquire skills necessary to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.

He also encouraged the trainees to view the completion of the programme not as the end of their learning journey but as a stepping stone towards further education.

Singh urged them to pursue advanced computer courses and continue strengthening their digital skills to improve their future employment and career opportunities.
