2nd Meghalaya Baby Football League’s title clash on Saturday

Shillong, Jan 17: The second edition of the Meghalaya Baby Football League will come to a close on Saturday.

The final matches of various age groups will be held at JN Stadium, Polo at 11 am.

In the 6-7 age group, Nongthymmai Scorpion will take on Rangdajied Eagles FC, while Onsides Gibbons will lock horn with Little Kicker Football Academy Ferrets in the 8-9 age group.

Similarly in the 10-11 age group, Langsning Geenergy Lions will clash with Upper Shillong Colt, even as in the under-12 category, Langsning Geenergy Lions will take on Rangdajied Eagles FC.

The second edition of the Meghalaya Baby Football League commenced in August last year under the initiative of the Meghalaya Football Association along with the support of the All India Football Federation and Tata Trusts.

The league was launched by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on August 2, 2019.

The league will now come to close after seeing the participation of around 52 teams from across the state. The league has also been a game of fun and excitement not only among the children, but parents too who have been accompanying their sons and daughters in every match.

Children in the age group from 4 to 12 years registered with various football clubs participated in this league held for the last six months.
