85.98 % turnout recorded at Kyndong Tuber re-poll

Shillong, March 01: Re-polling at Kyndong Tuber S “A” polling station under Raliang constituency was held on Thursday in which 540 out of 628 voters casted their votes.

The repolling recorded a turnout of 85.98 per cent. The re-polling went off peacefully without any untoward incident.

Repolling at Kyndong Tuber polling station under Raliang constituency in West Jaintia Hills District was necessitated because of a mixed up of voting machines due to “human errors.”

Kyndong Tuber polling station had to go for re-polll following a mixed up of voting machines from constituency due to “human errors”.

With the re-polling completed at Kyndong Tuber, election was held in all 3025 polling stations of the 59 seats.

On Tuesday, elections were held in 59 out of 60 Assembly constituencies, which comprised 3,024 polling stations out of 3,025. The polling percentage was 84.86 per cent.
