KHADC’s Executive Committee examines report on ‘maladministration’ by Syiem of Langrin

Shillong, July 23: KHADC deputy chief executive member Pynïaid Sing Syiem said an Executive Committee (EC) is examining an inquiry report into the alleged maladministration by the Syiem of Langrin Syiemship.

Tabling the report of the EC in the House on the first day of the summer session, Pynïaid said that the EC it its order dated January 30, appointed Deputy Secretary, C. Pohlong as an inquiry officer to enquire into the allegations against the suspended Syiem of Langrin Syiemship, Nangtei Sing Syiem.

“The inquiry officer vide letter dated May 7, submitted his report and the same is being examined by the EC,” he said.

The Syiem of Langrin Syiemship was placed under suspension on December 20, last year following a complaint filed against him for allegedly involving in maladministration.

In his place, the EC had appointed Baldwin Star Syiemïong as Acting Syiem of Langrin to temporarily look after the administration of the Syiemship.
