Shillong Mar 14: The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has decided to field former Deputy Chief Executive Member (Dy CEM), Pynïaid Sing Syiem as its candidate for the post of Chairman of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).

This was decided by members of the KHADC who are part of the UDA in the meeting held at Tara Ghar opposite Nan Polok on Saturday night.

The meeting also accepted United Democratic Party (UDP) MDC from Sohra, Titosstarwell Chyne as the candidate for the post of Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the KHADC.

The UDA comprised of the NPP, UDP, HSPDP, and others.

The election for the post of Chairman of the KHADC will be held on March 17 at 10 am and the election to the CEM post will be held on March 18 at 11 am.
