Shillong, June 19: The Meghalaya Democratic Alliance has won the lone Rajya Sabha seat in Meghalaya. MDA candidate Dr Wanweiroy Kharlukhi defeated Congress candidate Kennedy Cornelius Khyriem with a margin of 20 votes.
Dr Kharlukhi after being elected to the Rajya Sabha said, “Privileged to serve the state. I will not let the people down.”
