Martin Luther Christian University (MLCU) hosted its annual intercollegiate cultural festival, Fun-O-
Rama 2025, drawing students from colleges across Shillong for a day filled with creativity,
collaboration, and celebration. Organized by the Student Council, the event served as a vibrant
platform to showcase talent, academic innovation, and community spirit.
The highlight was the Cosplay Competition, where Jasmine and George from Shillong College won
first place, followed by Grace V. Sailo from J.D. Institute of Design, Bangalore, and Rimika
Wanniang from Synod College, Shillong, as runners-up. Among other awardees were Pynshngain B.
Lyngkhoi from MLCU, Shillong, who earned Best Performance, Iahunlang Kharmyndai, and Daryll
Warjri from Shillong Commerce College, Shillong, who took home the Best Costume award, and Della
Nongspung from Lady Keane College, Shillong, who received the Judge’s Choice award.
The event featured departmental stalls, music and dance performances, games, and food courts.
With each department creatively presenting its academic strengths to visitors.
Chief Guest Sir Rieward V. Warjri, retired IFS officer, praised the university for promoting unity and
creativity among the youth. A Student Council representative noted, “Fun-O-Rama is more than a
festival—it’s about expression, connection, and community.”
Fun-O-Rama 3.0 successfully brought together students from diverse institutions, celebrating
Shillong’s vibrant student culture leaves behind memories of shared learning and joy.
