Shillong, July 2025: The Mid-Summer Fling Fair in Shillong offered a rich showcase of Meghalaya’s cultural traditions, with a special highlight being the graceful appearance of Blandina Rympeit from Umdan village, Ri-Bhoi district. She proudly represented the Khasi community by wearing the traditional Jainsem, drawing admiration from visitors.

The Jainsem is a two-piece traditional dress worn by Khasi women, known for its modest and elegant look. Blandina’s outfit featured earthy colors and delicate patterns, reflecting the rich heritage of Umdan village.
