SHILLONG, SEPT 10: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday said all 56 C&RD Blocks in Meghalaya have been either fully renovated or provided with new buildings in the last three years as part of the government’s infrastructure push to improve service delivery in rural areas.

Sangma was speaking after inaugurating the Block Integrated Development Complex of Rongara C&RD Block in South Garo Hills District. Siju-Rongara MLA Rakkam A Sangma was present.

The Chief Minister credited the new complex to the local MLA’s hard work and vision for the area and urged officials to serve the people with dedication, noting that people approach block offices with hope and their grievances must be heard patiently and resolved.

He said the government is committed to taking administration closer to the people and accelerating development in rural and border areas.
