SHILLONG, SEPT 29: The second edition of the Sniawbhalang Dhar Pathfinder Free Tuition Program has seen a major expansion this year, with the number of centres doubling from 3 to 6 and enrolment touching 600 students.

Organised by the National People’s Youth Front (NPYF), 1-Nartiang Constituency, the program offers free coaching to SSLC students.

The six centres have been set up at Ummulong, Wahiajer, Modop, Umladaang, Khanduli and Namdong to cover different pockets of the constituency and ensure students do not have to travel far.

NPYF 1-Nartiang Block President Damechwa Dhar thanked local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar for supporting the initiative.

He said the free tuition will be a huge benefit for students from poor economic backgrounds and those residing in remote villages.

Damechwa said with the continued support of the Deputy CM, the aim is to extend the Pathfinder Program to all parts of Nartiang constituency next year so that more students can benefit.
