SHILLONG, OCT 14: Deputy Chief Minister and NPP national vice-president Sniawbhalang Dhar on Wednesday dismissed the Voice of the People Party’s (VPP) rally at Polo as a low turnout show.
Asked about the VPP’s recent rally to drum up support for their Shillong Lok Sabha candidate Dr Batskhem Myrboh, Dhar said, “No, VPP rally was for 36 constituencies, not even 10,000 people. How can you say it is a good turnout?”
Claiming that the crowd was not huge, he said, “If NPP calls all 36 constituencies, it will be triple than that.”
“You should know that it is a public rally for 36 constituencies and not even 7000-8000 people. How can you say it is a big crowd? That is the witness,” Dhar added.
