Nongpoh, October 15: Residents of Ri-Bhoi district will no longer need to travel to Shillong or other places to purchase Maruti Suzuki Nexa cars, following the opening of a new showroom near Pahamsyiem Ground in Nongpoh, opposite Bethany Hospital.

The showroom was inaugurated on Thursday evening with a programme attended by showroom officials, employees, local leaders and invited guests. As part of the launch, three vehicles were handed over to customers from Ri-Bhoi district.

Among those present at the occasion were Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Metbah Lyngdoh, Ironis Rani, Michael Kharhunai, Pastor S.R. Pamshong, local village leaders, family members and well-wishers.

The new facility includes a car showroom and a workshop, providing residents with more convenient access to vehicle purchases and related services within the district.

The inauguration ceremony featured a ribbon-cutting at the showroom entrance, followed by a special prayer seeking blessings for the owners, management, employees and customers.

The opening of the showroom is expected to make purchasing Nexa vehicles more convenient for residents of Nongpoh and neighbouring areas of Ri-Bhoi district.
