Shillong, October 21: Six persons including two women were injured when a local taxi met an accident at Fourth Furlong, Polo here on Saturday morning at around 5.45 am.
The local taxi (ML05 G 5014) ferrying six persons from NEIGRIHMS to Khyndai Lad hit a wall at Fourth Furlong.

The injured persons include two female passengers, Shantilal Narzary (45) and Maria Narzary (18), the driver of the taxi, Wanrapborlang Tymmenniang (28), Rambhawarji Swari (30), Hirangtho Swari (30) and Frojid Narzary (25).
The injured passengers are all from Assam, and they came to NEIGRIHMS for treatment of one of the injured victims.
They hired the taxi from NEIGRIHMS to board a tourist taxi from Khyndai Lad to go back to Assam.
