Shillong, Dec 7: The Meghalaya SSA School Teachers Association (MSSASTA) will organize a rally on December 12 at 11 am to protest against the failure of the State government to release arrears and salaries.

According to a statement issued by MSSASTA president, Aristotle C. Rymbai, the eight months arrears of the SSA teachers with effect from July 2016 to February 2017 have not been paid yet, four month salary from August to November of the current academic year of 12481 SSA teachers is still pending.

The association had sought an appointment earlier this week with the Chief Minister, Mukul Sangma to discuss the issues, but no response was received.
