Bakshi retires as ADG, NCC, North East Region, Brig. Singh takes over

Shillong, May 30 – Major General Bipin Bakshi on Saturday relinquished the appointment of Additional Director General, NCC Directorate, North Eastern Region as he proceeds on superannuation, after a glorious service of 38 years.

On his last day in service, he laid the wreaths at War Memorial Shillong in remembrance of fallen soldiers who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

Major General Bakshi handed over the duties and responsibilities to Brig RK Singh.

During his present tenure in service as Additional Director General, NCC of North Eastern Region, he pioneered the First Ever Brahmaputra Sailing Expedition earning a mention in the Limca Book of Records 2019.

This was the first time that a single NCC Directorate created a National Record since the raising of NCC in 1948. The NCC North East contingent also won the Republic Day 2020 NCC Competition for the first time among 17 NCC Directorates of the country under his leadership.

North Eastern Region, Directorate, also fulfilled almost 100 percent established vacancies for NCC cadets.
