BJP says it will make massive inroads in Meghalaya

Shillong, Feb 7: The BJP claimed that despite the Congress playing religious card, it will make massive inroads in all districts in Meghalaya.

“The state leadership foretold that the party will be at privilege to win more seats than expected, as the general public are fed up with the imperfect rule of the Congress for more than a decade or so,” BJP election campaign committee convener AL Hek said in a statement issued on Wednesday.

Hek was part of the Congress-led government where he was the minister when he was the Congress legislator.

He said that it is prompted that the general public are inclined towards the mottos of “Time for change, time for BJP” and “Sab ka Sath, Sab Ka Vikas”.

“There is no hesitation to accept that the BJP will be in the driver’s seat when the next government is formed in the state,” Hek, who is also seeking re-election from Pynthorumkhrah said.

He also denied that the BJP will secure only 10-15 seats in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Meanwhile, he said that the public are intelligent enough to measure the failure of the Congress government and comprehend that its come back to power is unauthenticated.

“The party is fighting the election aggressively on its own strength,” Hek stated.
